Every £2,000 of V-Day Donations has paid for:
• Over 160 hours of one-to-one or group play therapy for children who have witnessed domestic violence
• 140 hours of outreach support to women in the community
• 100 hours of one-to-one/group counselling for women traumatised by abuse
• Printing 10,000 health and domestic violence leaflets
• Training community and faith leaders to encourage abandonment of FGM (female genital mutilation) in FGM practising communities
• Running a conference to improve working links between the drugs, alcohol, mental health and domestic violence sectors
• Funding an advice worker to support women by offering advice and information in key areas including housing, family law, community care law, domestic violence and welfare rights
• Supporting volunteer solicitors who provide surgeries 3 times per week
• Running a telephone help line for six months from women and girls who have suffered sexual violence
• Delivering a prevention campaign with 30 teenagers in one secondary school, enabling them to engage their entire year-set with their own performance workshop about violence against women (200 students).
