In 2003, V-Day launched "A spotlight on Native American and Canadian First Nations Women" to bring attention to Native Women and the problem of violence that has become a serious issue in various tribes. These women experience violence at a rate that's 3.5 times that of any other race (this is according to the U.S. Department of Justice).

Nearly $100,000 were raised to support the opening of a safe house on Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and to further initiatives to end violence against women and girls in Native American tribes.
